Amazing Women, Africa
2025
The moment I saw this design, I knew I wanted to bring it to life. The tan Aida cloth enhances the vibrancy of the threads, while the bronze frame and textured mat complement the strength and beauty of the subject. It quickly became one of my favorites.

Teen with Travel Visions
2025
This Whimsical piece captures the spirit of youthful dreaming, complete with red sneakers, a passport, a backpack, and a straw hat. It reminds me of a time when I imagined the adventures and places that would shape my future.
-
Peony Poses
2025
A challenging work, this piece required every square of the cloth to be stitched without backstitching. Working in 10 x 10 blocks, I brought to life a warm color palette that radiates peace and beauty. It is one of my Signature pieces.
-
Birch Guardians
2025
This tribute to the birch trees on our mountain property celebrates their unique markings and the soothing sound of their fluttering leaves. Like flowing water, they bring a sense of calm and beauty—captured here in thread.

Vibrant Blooms
2022
One of my favorites, this piece radiates with bold color and a close-up view of flowers in full detail. The beauty lies in the backstitching, which, though time-consuming, gives the blooms their striking definition.
-
Garden Shed
2024
Small but mighty, this 10” x 10” piece feels like building with thread. The brick wall required three shades of rust-colored thread, while over forty cherry blossoms came to life with delicate color changes. I framed it without glass to highlight the intricate stitching.

Quilting Village
2024
One of the largest and most complex pieces I’ve ever completed, this design stitches nearly the entire cloth, sparing only a few glimpses of sky. It features nine quilts—a nod to quilting, though I am not a quilter myself. This piece always reminds me of Holly, Michigan, a town dear to my heart.
-
Winter Home
2023
My second pillow piece, Winter Home, features a twinkling blue night sky stitched on Aida cloth with DMC threads. It brings a touch of magic to my winter seasonal collection.
-
Fall Pumpkins
2023
For this piece, I stepped away from framed art to try a needlepoint pillow. Stitched on burlap-like fabric with yarn instead of thread, it is finished with suede backing and pillow fill. Each autumn, it finds its place on my hearth, part of my seasonal display.

Raining Flowers
2021
This piece challenged me with its dark blue Aida cloth—a rarity in textile design. The French knots on the bodice, the contemporary hair coloring, and the folds of the gown created through layered threads make it especially memorable. A friend lovingly refers to it as the “Tulip Skirt.” It is part of my Signature collection.
-
Flower Bouquet
2020
This bouquet tied with a red ribbon marked my reentry into textile arts. As a flower lover, I couldn’t imagine a better way to begin again. The detailed greenery, with its many color changes, made this piece both challenging and rewarding. It became my very first Signature work.

Mountain River
2023
This piece, part of the Nature collection, is one of my husband’s favorites. It uses Italian Merano wool instead of traditional DMC thread, creating rich color and added texture. The oval frame enhances the sense of movement in the flowing water, a reminder of his love for rivers and streams.
-
At the Beach
2022
Some of my fondest memories are by the water—whether on the shores of Michigan, the Carolinas, or the West Coast. This design, with its lighthouse, rowboat, birds, and grasses, instantly transports me back to those cherished beach days.
-
Mountain Sunset
2021
I created this piece as a housewarming gift for my husband and me after we purchased a mountain property in Colorado. The rolling terrain, trees, and brilliant sunrises and sunsets reminded me of our new home. A unique feature of this design is the use of “combined threads,” where two different colors are stitched together, creating depth and nuance. This piece belongs to the Nature collection.

Halloween Gnomes
2024
This playful piece bursts with purple, orange, and lime green, inspired by the Seven Dwarfs. The details in each gnome, enhanced by fine backstitching, make it a joyful part of my Whimsical collection.
-
Coffee Au Lait
2022
As a coffee lover, I created this vintage-inspired piece for my kitchen. The subtle shading of the three stitched panels behind the coffee cup gives it a distinctly European feel.

Winter Gnomes
2021
I enjoy stitching seasonal pieces to display as the seasons arrive. These cheerful gnomes, with their “jolly” expressions, always bring a smile to my face and belong to my Whimsical collection.
